This kit is designed to allow you to bolt a VW TDI engine to a Toyota Land Cruiser H42/H55+ transmissions. Swapping to a VW TDI has a number of great advantages. First of all is availability and cost. Most people think about a Cummins swap but the cost on acquiring a running/working 5,9 is about 3-5x more expensive. Also, with a Cummins you have the penalty of the added weight over a TDI. The power output on these little engines will surprise you. With a few bolt on parts and a proper tune these engines will produce more power that your OEM Toyota engine. Also, the added torque makes this a perfect choice for your overlanding or rock crawling adventures. Lastly, these engines are very efficient and you'll surely see the improvements over the old gas engine.
