Ford 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel to Ford 6.7L Diesel 6R140 / 10R140 Automatic Transmission Adapter Kit

This adapter kit allows you to mate a 1995–2003 Ford 7.3L Power Stroke diesel engine to a Ford 6.7L Diesel 6R140 or 10R140 automatic transmission, providing a clean and reliable solution for custom swaps and drivetrain upgrades.

The kit is designed to work with the stock 7.3L Power Stroke flexplate (FRA-420) and stock starter (DB Electrical #410-48076). The factory starter adapter and crank spacer are not required when using this kit, simplifying installation and reducing unnecessary components.

A key design advantage of this kit is the 1-inch adapter plate, which replaces the thicker 32mm (1.26-inch) factory starter plate. This optimized thickness improves alignment while maintaining proper drivetrain geometry. Minor modification to the 6.7L bellhousing is required for proper starter bindex clearance.

Early 7.3L IDI engines may be compatible, but this application has not yet been fully tested or verified. Please contact us prior to purchase to discuss IDI fitment.
